Pumpkin craft made out of wood. Halloween/recycle Idea

Here is another good way to recycle some thing you might have around the house and also do a very nice pumpkin craft for halloween.

What you need:

Wooden block in any way
Foam Sanding Block
Rag
Craft paint in orange, black and white (additional colors optional)
Brush
Tape
Raffia
Nail
Hammer

How to do:

Select a block of wood that is around your home. If you have not, ask at a local sawmill or building supply store for a scrap so.

The block of sand to remove sharp edges or splinters. Dust with damp cloth.
Paint the orange block, and dry, then paint the details in the face.

Let dry.

Hammer in a nail, leaving the head about half inch to an inch above the wood surface.

Tie raffia around the nail.

Tie ribbon around the nail.

Make several for a large decorative fireplace, or sit in your window. Enjoy.

This art serves as a great group project. Some readers of this project came after a walk with friends ended with hay and pumpkin all looking different.
