Pumpkin Craft and a good way to recycle a milk container

| |

A safe way to light their way, this milk container pumpkin craft is ideal for autumn and Halloween. Greet your guests and Trick or Treating, but do not worry about the wind! Our candles do not blow.

What you need:

Milk gallon plastic container with lid
Pen or pencil
Craft knife or scissors
1 bottle of orange acrylic enamel or gloss paint
Sponge brush applicator
Hot glue gun
The flickering tea light (with batteries)
Brown felt

How to do:
Lightly draw a jack-o'-lantern face on the front of the container of milk.

Cut out features with scissors or a craft knife. Cut a flap in the back of the pumpkin large enough that one can take a sandwich bag filled with sand or a handful of rocks to weigh it.
Paint the container with three coats of orange paint. Let dry between coats.
Holding flickering tea light upside down, place inside the mouth of the container of milk. (You may have to cut the opening until the tea light is able to fit inside.) Once you have size of the mouth, remove the tea light and set aside.

Cut a rectangle of Brown was big enough to fit around the mouth of the container of milk. Use hot glue to line the inside of the area, then fold the excess down felt around the outside of the mouth and glue in place.

The tea light inside and willing to be pointing downwards. (Do not glue down the tea light - you should be able to remove and replace when the battery dies.)

Insert the rocks or a small bag of sand on the flap of the pumpkin for weight. Put the pumpkin on the porch and when night falls, the flickering lights of tea!
